We design and build  membrane formation lines, whether your process requires knife over plate, knife over roll or slot die, with all associated modules such as formation tanks, polymerization tanks, rinse tanks, dryers, drum dryers, unwinds, winders and associated web handling equipment. Formation, polymerization and rinse tanks are custom fabricated for compatibility with all fluids in presence, and primarily made of stainless steel 316L, electropolished SS316L, or a variety of polymers.

Precision Tension Control for Delicate
Membrane Materials

Speed and tension control are critical in any web converting application, but for delicate substrates, specifically when it comes to membrane material. Pyradia lines can operate under extreme low tension, where total tension is maintained below a fraction of a pound. To optimize such challenging tension control, Pyradia standardized its motion control using Rockwell Kinetix® servo series. Servomotors, given their compact envelope, can be easily attached to different rollers when changing the system from one coating mode to another. The control parameters can be quickly adjusted from the machine interface.
