Pyradia manufacturers custom-made pit ovens and pit furnaces. They are ideal for the heat treatment of elongated parts. They are tall and they typically are installed on the lower floor of a building. The parts loading access is located on a higher floor level. For smaller components, the furnace is filled manually from the top. For larger or heavier components, they are filled with the help of a crane. The door of the oven or furnace is a 90° swivelling motion door on the top that exposes the entire workspace for easy loading.
Temperatures up to 2300°F [1260°C].
Robust construction
The outer casing of our pit oven & furnace features a sturdy welded structure made of 1/4’’ (HRS) hot rolled steel. For higher temperature uniformity requirements, stainless steel (SS304) air baffles forming an inner cage for the air convection technology typically equips our pit oven.
Advanced Insulation
Our Pit Oven are engineered with state-of-the-art insulation technology for maximum efficiency. With a standard 6 – 15″ (15 – 38 cm) thickness of ceramic fiber modules based on specific requirements, heat loss is minimized, and rapid heat cycling is achieved, ensuring optimal energy economy. This durable configuration requires minimal maintenance, providing long-lasting performance.
Also offered and depending on the required duty and, our Pit Furnace are engineered with refractory brick insulation.
Ovens and Furnaces
Ovens for operating temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C)
From the same technology of our HM Series, our ovens feature the air convection technology with tubular heating elements or with FeCrAl alloy strip or wire element enabling and excellent temperature uniformity.
Furnaces for operating temperatures of up to 2300°F (1260°C)
Our furnace shell is made of 3/16″ steel plate welded to structural units and is equipped with FeCrAl alloy strip or wire elements supported by ceramic hooks and retaining system in the ceramic fiber modules. It can be also equipped with an air recirculation system for good temperature uniformity at all temperatures.
Our optional gas configuration equipped with our pulse firing technology enhances temperature uniformity, process control, and energy efficiency, providing even greater performance.
