Pyradia has developed a car bottom oven for intense and continuous use that is highly reliable, energy efficient and cost-effective. These car bottom ovens incorporate high grade insulation, finest control systems and rugged construction. The car bottom series is ideal for the heat treatment of aluminum alloys lingots or logs for operating temperature of 900 to 1000°F (480 to 514°C). As with all our ovens, this model provides an excellent temperature uniformity as precise as +/- 10°F (+/- 3°C).

Capable of accommodating heavy loads of up to 165 tons (150 tonnes) on its wheeled car, it simplifies the loading process for bulky parts. Ideal for treating long-length components like tubing, bars, slabs, and ingots, its guillotine-type door configuration enhances accessibility. Compliant with ASTM, SAE, AMS, CQI-9, and NFPA 86 standards, it ensures top-notch quality, precise pyrometry, and utmost safety.

Advanced Insulation

The outer casing of our pit oven & furnace features a sturdy welded structure made of 1/4’’ (HRS) hot rolled steel. For higher temperature uniformity requirements, stainless steel (SS304) air baffles forming an inner cage for the air convection technology typically equips our pit oven.
