Pyradia’s adventure began in 1973 and the company is proudly celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2023.

Founded in Marieville, Pyradia began its activities by manufacturing small kilns mainly for the pottery and enamelled copper industries.

In 1978, the company experienced a major turning point when it was acquired by Michel Hémond and Mario Bouthillier. This change in strategic direction was accompanied by a move to Longueuil in 1979, laying the foundations for Pyradia’s future growth.

It was at this time that the company began its first diversification, manufacturing industrial ovens and furnaces for heat treating steel and aluminum for parts for the aerospace market.

Over the years, the company has expanded its product portfolio to include cupellation furnaces for precious metal analysis, as well as specialized furnaces for a multitude of baking and drying applications.

Pyradia is continuing its quest for excellence and expansion by adding new strings to its bow.

In 1985, it acquired Belfab, a company specialized in manufacturing dust collection equipment, thus strengthening its offering in the industrial sector.

Two years later, in 1987, Pyradia took another significant step forward by integrating Rousseau, its competitor in the dust collector sector, further consolidating its market position.

In the ’90s, a third division was created within Pyradia, the result of acquiring the assets of a manufacturing company specializing in web converting equipment, in 1992.

In 2008, Pyradia established a strategic partnership with Codere, a Swiss company, to offer patented atmosphere furnaces to North American companies.

Today, Pyradia is a major player in the manufacturing industry, with a modern plant of over 40,000 square feet located in Saint-Hubert, and can count on a motivated and qualified team of loyal employees.
