Pyradia recently completed the installation of a hot air thermoforming line for AURIA, a joint venture between International Automotive Components and Shanghi Shenda Co., LTD. AURIA is the world’s second largest supplier of automotive acoustic and other fiber-based products. The hot air oven system installed is natural gas fired with a temperature uniformity of +/- 5° F (+/-3°C) and a maximum temperature of 450 °F (230°C). The system is equipped with a pneumatically actuated stretching pin frame offering precise and independent control of the stretch of the carpet blank during the heating process.
