CAR BOTTOM FURNACE
Pyradia industrial ovens division has been awarded a contract to design and manufacture a High Temperature Car Bottom forging/tempering Furnace for a leading Canadian manufacturer of butt welding fittings. With a 15ft (4570mm) W. x 21ft 6400 mm) D. x 7ft (2133mm) H working chamber, the furnace will be operating between 900°F and 1975°F.
The furnace will be equipped with a NEMA 12 Power/Control panel, Allen Bradley PLC controllers and AB Panelview HMI pre-programmed in-house.
The furnace designed by Pyradia will be equipped with a pulse firing system enabling up to 30% energy savings, better convection, better temperature uniformity, flexibility to control the various zones and lower NOx emissions.
The unit will be completed for early Spring 2018.
