PYRADIA offers a complete line of coaters corresponding to your product characteristics. We manufacture the most flexible and reliable gravure, reverse gravure, reverse roll, knife over roll, wire wound rod, slot die, saturation and split film coaters. All our coaters are designed according to the highest quality standards for long life and easy maintenance. The open frame design of our equipment makes PYRADIA’s coaters the easiest to thread, clean and operate. We offer the choice of fabricated open frame design or heavy machined plate construction to better suit customer’s preference or process needs.

With our coaters you can use a wide range of viscosities. You have the choice of water base, 100 % solids or solvent base coatings. All our coaters are available with speed ranges that meet your requirements. Every coater we manufacture can be added to an existing line or combined with PYRADIA’s unwinds, winders, laminators and dryers to create a completely new process line.

PYRADIA’s coaters can be designed to provide different coating methods on the same machine. Each coater can be equipped with a PLC, a MMI and a computerized control system, depending of your specifications. PYRADIA’s coaters are available in our standard range of characteristics, or specially designed for your particular application.

Coating Methods

Special web process equipment is available and can be integrated to your process line to improve your production and reduce your set up time. In order to meet your specific requirements, PYRADIA offers a wide range of equipment for saturation and coating processes. Our coaters can be designed for papers, films, foils, textiles and composites applications.

Typical applications

	This gravure coater offers forward & reverse operation and is equipped with an enclosed coating feed chamber. Three back-up rolls are mounted on a turret to allow for quick coating width change.		This gravure & knife combination coater is designed to operate up to 800 FPM and can process up to 32 in. wide web. It features a pull roll assembly, an offset pivot guider and micrometer adjustments on the enclosed coating chamber and knife assembly.		This water base PSA coating line operates up to 800 FPM and is equipped with fully automatic turrets (dryers not shown).

• Both the applicator rubber roll and the anilox roll can turn in the forward or reverse direction at plus or minus 30 % of line speed. Applicator roll is EPDM rubber cover and ground to 0.001” TIR; mounted in a fix position.
  Anilox roll is ceramic engraved.
  
  
• Coating is furnished to the anilox roll through a chambered doctor system;
  the chambered doctor system also doctors the coating on the roll.
  Bottom roll (Direct/reverse gravure type)
  
  
• Is mounted to the same frame that the top coater is mounted to.
  The anilox roll, which is also the applicator roll, serves as the backup roll for the top coater.
